Your Information, Handled Plainly
Last updated: September 24, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Gutter Solutions LLC ("Gutter Solutions," "we," "us" or "our") collects, uses and shares information. It covers our website at guttersolutionsllc.com (the "Site") and the calls, texts and emails we exchange with you about requests made through it.
Who we are
Gutter Solutions LLC is a Georgia limited liability company. We install seamless gutters and provide related services in Southeast Georgia and the South Carolina Lowcountry. Our Site and services are intended for people in the United States.
You can reach us at (912) 202-0537 or through the contact details on our Contact page.
Information we collect
Information you give us
Our estimate and contact forms collect:
- your name, phone number, email address and ZIP code;
- the service you need;
- anything you write in the optional message box; and
- whether you agreed to receive text messages.
Our server emails each submission to us and may keep a copy for our records and to help control spam.
When you call, text or email us, we also collect what you choose to share, such as your address, photos of your property and job details.
Please don't send sensitive information, such as payment card numbers, Social Security numbers, or gate or alarm codes, through our forms or by text.
Information collected automatically
- Server logs. Our web hosting provider's servers automatically log basic details of each visit: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you request, the referring page, and the date and time. The logs are used to deliver the Site, keep it secure and fix problems.
- Form records. When you submit a form, our server may also record the date, time, page used and your IP address. This helps us block spam and keep a record of your request and any consent you gave.
- Font requests. The Site loads its fonts from Google Fonts, so Google's servers receive your IP address and basic browser details.
How the StormWatch weather widget works
The StormWatch widget shows forecasts and alerts from the U.S. National Weather Service (NWS). It is for planning gutter work, not for making safety decisions.
On pages where the widget finds your area automatically, and you haven't already picked one:
- Our server sends your IP address to an outside IP-location service to estimate your approximate location. We currently use ipapi.co, with ip-api.com as a backup.
- Our server matches that estimate to our nearest service area and asks the NWS for that area's forecast. The request to the NWS contains the service area's location, not your IP address.
We cache the result (the matched service area and your approximate town and state) on our server for no more than 24 hours, so moving between pages doesn't trigger new lookups. Cache files are named with a scrambled (hashed) code, not your IP address.
You can choose a county in the widget at any time. Your browser then remembers your choice, and the widget stops looking up your IP address.
How we use information
We use information to:
- respond to your questions and estimate requests;
- schedule estimates and appointments;
- communicate with you about your request and job by phone, email or text (see "Text messages" below);
- prepare estimates, agreements and invoices, and do the work;
- show local weather in the StormWatch widget;
- run, secure and improve the Site, and prevent spam and misuse;
- keep business records; and
- comply with the law and protect our rights.
Text messages
You can text us using the "Text Us" button, or agree to receive texts from us by checking the text-message box on our forms.
- What we send: replies to your messages, and texts about your estimate request, appointments and job. We will not send you marketing or promotional texts unless you separately agree to receive them.
- Consent is not a condition of purchase. You don't have to agree to texts to get an estimate or hire us.
- Message frequency varies.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- To opt out, reply STOP at any time. We may send one text to confirm. You can also opt out another way, such as by calling us.
- For help, reply HELP or call (912) 202-0537.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We may share information with service providers that help us deliver messages or provide customer support, only so they can provide those services. All other sharing described in this policy excludes text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
How we share information
We share personal information only as described below.
- Service providers that help us run the Site and our business, such as our web hosting provider, our email, phone and text-messaging providers, the weather widget's IP-location services, and Google, which receives your IP address when your browser loads our fonts. Any other business tools we use, such as scheduling or invoicing software, get only what they need. These providers handle information under their own terms and privacy policies.
- Legal reasons. If the law requires it, to respond to valid legal process, or to protect the rights, property or safety of our customers, the public or our business.
- Business transfers. If our business is sold, merged or reorganized, the information we hold may be transferred as part of that transaction.
- With your permission. When you ask us to share information or agree to it.
The National Weather Service, which supplies the widget's forecasts, receives no personal information from us. Some service providers may process information outside the United States.
We do not sell your information
We do not sell personal information or share it with others for their advertising, and we do not use it for targeted advertising.
Cookies and local storage
The Site sets no cookies of its own, and Google says Google Fonts sets none either.
The weather widget uses your browser's local storage (under the name "gs-wx-area") to remember the service area you pick. It holds only the name of an area, such as Chatham, and nothing that identifies you. It stays on your device until you switch back to automatic detection or clear your browser's data for our Site.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. We don't use tools that track you across other websites, so these browser signals have nothing to switch off today. If that changes, we will explain here how we respond to them, and we will honor Global Privacy Control signals where the law requires.
Google Map on our Contact page
Our Contact page can show our Google Business Profile on a Google Map. The map does not load until you click "Show the map." Once you do, your browser connects to Google, which receives your IP address and may set cookies under Google's Privacy Policy. If you don't click, nothing is sent to Google Maps.
Tools we may add later
We may add features such as a display of our Google reviews, call-tracking phone numbers, website analytics (such as Google Analytics) or advertising tools (such as the Google Ads tag or the Meta Pixel). Tools like these can set cookies and collect information such as your IP address, device details and how you use the Site.
We do not use any of these tools today. Before we add one, we will update this policy to explain what it collects and your choices. Where the law requires, we will ask for your consent before it runs.
How long we keep information
We keep personal information only as long as we reasonably need it for the purposes in this policy.
- Requests, messages and job records: as long as needed to respond and do the work, then as business records for warranty, tax, accounting and legal purposes.
- Copies of form submissions on our web server: our target is to delete them within 12 months.
- Text-message consent and opt-out records: while we text with you, and for a period afterward so we can show that we respected your choices.
- Weather widget location results: no more than 24 hours.
- Server logs: for a limited time set by our hosting provider.
How we protect information
We use reasonable safeguards, such as HTTPS encryption, keeping server files that contain personal information out of public view, and limiting access to customer information to people who need it to serve you. No website or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
- Access, correction and deletion. Ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by calling (912) 202-0537 or using the contact details on our Contact page. We may need to confirm your identity. We may keep information we need for legal, tax or warranty reasons or to honor your opt-out choices, and we will tell you if we do.
- Text messages. Reply STOP to any text, or tell us.
- Calls and email. Tell us if you would rather not be called or emailed. If we are working on a job for you, we will agree with you on how to stay in touch.
- Weather widget. Pick a county instead of automatic detection.
- State privacy rights. Some U.S. states give their residents additional rights, such as the right to know about, correct or delete personal information. We will honor requests as the laws that apply to us require, and we will not treat you differently for making one.
Children's privacy
The Site is meant for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Links to other websites
The Site links to websites run by other companies, such as our Google Business Profile, Facebook page and Better Business Bureau profile. Those companies have their own privacy policies and cookie practices, which we do not control.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy, for example when we add a new tool or change how we handle information. We will post the new version on this page with a new "Last updated" date, and we will post a notice on the Site for significant changes.
